Passing the torch to his son, Robert, affectionately known as Bob, in the 1980s, the tradition of excellence continued to thrive. Under Bob’s stewardship, Sherman Moving & Storage solidified its reputation as a reliable partner in the journey of relocation.
A New Generation Takes the Lead
In the mid-90s, Bob’s children, Maura and Jason, embraced the family legacy, joining the company full-time after completing their education. Their hands-on approach and unwavering dedication to quality service were evident from the start. Working side by side with their father, they learned the intricacies of the business and honed their craft.
In 2017, a new chapter unfolded as Maura and Jason assumed full ownership of Sherman Moving & Storage, marking the transition to the third generation of Sherman leadership. With a seamless blend of tradition and innovation, they continue to uphold the values instilled by their grandfather, ensuring that every customer receives personalized attention and exceptional care. In 2019, their brother Blane joined the company full-time after relocating back from the East Coast. Bringing with him years of experience managing a moving company in the region, Blane’s expertise further enhances Sherman Moving & Storage’s ability to deliver top-notch service to our valued customers.

Yes, you can leave any fabric-based items in the drawers. However, please remove items such as jewelry, perfume bottles, or anything fragile that could shift during transit.
Yes, we charge from the time our team leaves our facility until they return. This includes any delays due to heavy traffic, accidents, or other unforeseen events beyond your control.
We accept cash, personal checks, and major credit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.
We can move the components of a pool table if you arrange for a pool table company to disassemble it before the move.
Yes, we can disassemble weight equipment and transport it. However, our team is unable to reassemble it at the new location.
We can disconnect gas and electric washers and dryers, but we are unable to hook them back up at the new location.
Yes, we can move safes weighing under 500 pounds. Typically we can remove the door, thereby lowering the weight of each piece.
While tipping is always appreciated, it’s never expected. You can include a tip when paying by credit card or check.
